Job Description:
The United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) invites graduate students to apply for our Internship Program in 2024. This program provides a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in the field of postal law enforcement and gain hands-on experience in safeguarding the nation’s mail system.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting investigations related to mail theft, fraud, and other postal crimes
- Support the development and implementation of security and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with USPIS agents on special projects and initiatives
- Engage in data analysis, research, and report preparation
- Contribute to the mission of protecting the integrity of the U.S. mail system
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
- Pursuing a degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, security studies, or a related field
- Strong academic performance and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Experience: No prior experience with the USPIS is required; however, a genuine interest in postal law enforcement and a commitment to public service are essential.
