The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service invites motivated and passionate students to apply for our Summer Internship Program in 2024.   • Collaborate with wildlife biologists and conservationists on field studies and research projects.
  • Assist in habitat restoration initiatives and contribute to wildlife monitoring efforts.
  • Support environmental education programs and outreach to local communities.
  • Engage in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to wildlife populations.
  • Participate in workshops, training sessions, and team meetings to enhance conservation knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Pursuing a degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance and a genuine passion for wildlife conservation.

Experience:

  • Previous coursework or experience in wildlife research or conservation is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with fieldwork, data collection, or environmental education is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
