Job Description:
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is pleased to announce the Summer Internship Program for 2024. As an intern with the SEC, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the regulatory and financial landscape while contributing to meaningful projects that impact the securities industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in research and analysis related to securities laws and regulations.
- Contribute to the examination and enforcement efforts of the SEC.
- Support the development of reports, presentations, and policy documents.
- Collaborate with SEC professionals on projects related to market oversight and investor protection.
- Participate in meetings, hearings, and events relevant to the securities industry.
- Engage in financial analysis and data interpretation.
- Assist in outreach and educational programs to enhance public understanding of securities regulations.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in law, finance, business, economics, or related field.
- Strong academic record and a keen interest in securities regulation and financial markets.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and research tools.
Experience: Previous coursework or research related to securities laws or financial markets is advantageous but not mandatory.
