Job Description:

The Office of Government Ethics (OGE) offers a dynamic internship program for graduate students aiming to gain practical experience in ethics, compliance, and government operations. Interns will work on various projects, gaining insight into federal ethics regulations and contributing to the promotion of integrity within the government.

  1. Assist in the analysis and interpretation of federal ethics regulations and guidelines.
  2. Conduct research on ethical practices, compliance issues, and governmental policies.
  3. Support the development and implementation of training programs on ethical standards.
  4. Collaborate with OGE staff on special projects and initiatives.
  5. Assist in reviewing financial disclosure reports and conflict-of-interest issues.
  6. Participate in meetings and discussions related to ethics and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a graduate program in law, public policy, public administration, ethics, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in government ethics, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.

Experience:

  • Previous coursework or experience in ethics, law, policy analysis, or government affairs is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with federal ethics laws, regulations, or compliance frameworks is beneficial.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
