Job Description:
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is pleased to announce Internship opportunities for students aspiring to gain valuable experience in banking supervision, regulation, and financial oversight. The OCC Internship Students Program provides an immersive experience in a dynamic regulatory environment, fostering professional development and contributing to the nation’s financial stability.
Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist in monitoring and assessing the compliance of financial institutions with applicable laws and regulations.
- Contribute to examinations and inspections of banks to ensure sound banking practices.
- Data Analysis:
- Support data analysis initiatives related to financial performance, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with teams to interpret and communicate data-driven insights.
- Policy Research:
- Assist in research activities related to banking policies, financial markets, and emerging regulatory issues.
- Contribute to the development of reports, briefs, and presentations.
- Project Support:
- Engage in special projects related to the OCC’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with professionals across different departments to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, preferably in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Demonstrated interest in banking, financial regulation, or public policy.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience: While prior experience in banking or regulatory affairs is not mandatory, candidates with relevant coursework or internships will be considered favorably.
