  • Collaborate with tribal leaders and community members on projects aligned with cultural preservation and community development.
  • Conduct research and analysis to address challenges and opportunities facing Native American communities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of programs aimed at improving health, education, and economic outcomes.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives and support the coordination of events.
  • Contribute to the documentation and preservation of Native American traditions, languages, and histories.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a graduate program with a focus on Native American Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Native American culture, history, and community issues.
  • Strong academic performance and effective communication skills.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with Native American communities is highly desirable.
  • Research experience related to indigenous studies or community development is a plus.

Skills:

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work respectfully with diverse communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in research methods and data analysis.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
