Job Description: The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is offering an exciting opportunity for students to participate in our Internship Program in 2024. This program provides a unique chance to gain firsthand experience in the field of drug enforcement and to contribute to the mission of protecting the public by enforcing controlled substances laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of data related to drug trafficking and enforcement activities.
- Support DEA agents in research projects, investigations, and intelligence gathering.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, briefings, and presentations on drug-related trends and threats.
- Participate in various administrative tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the DEA office.
- Collaborate with DEA professionals on special projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
- Pursuing a degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, forensic science, or a related field.
- Strong academic record and a commitment to the mission of the DEA.
Experience:
- Previous coursework or internship experience related to criminal justice or law enforcement is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the principles and practices of drug enforcement is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in research and data analysis.
