The District of Columbia Government is inviting applications for its 2024 Internship Program. Job Roles

  • Administrative Intern: Provide administrative support, manage schedules, and assist with documentation and data management.
  • Policy and Research Intern: Conduct research, analyze policy issues, and assist in the preparation of policy briefs and reports.
  • Communications and Media Intern: Support the development of communication strategies, create content for social media, and assist with media outreach.
  • IT Intern: Provide technical support, assist with software development, and contribute to IT infrastructure projects.
  • Environmental Policy Intern: Engage in environmental policy research, support sustainability projects, and assist with environmental education initiatives.
  • Public Health Intern: Participate in public health initiatives, support community health programs, and assist with data analysis and reporting.

Education Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree related to the internship role.
  • Recent graduates (within the past year) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in a related field is advantageous but not required.
  • Demonstrated interest in public service and community development.

Skills Requirements

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software/tools.
