Job Overview
The District of Columbia Government is inviting applications for its 2024 Internship Program. Job Roles
- Administrative Intern: Provide administrative support, manage schedules, and assist with documentation and data management.
- Policy and Research Intern: Conduct research, analyze policy issues, and assist in the preparation of policy briefs and reports.
- Communications and Media Intern: Support the development of communication strategies, create content for social media, and assist with media outreach.
- IT Intern: Provide technical support, assist with software development, and contribute to IT infrastructure projects.
- Environmental Policy Intern: Engage in environmental policy research, support sustainability projects, and assist with environmental education initiatives.
- Public Health Intern: Participate in public health initiatives, support community health programs, and assist with data analysis and reporting.
Education Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree related to the internship role.
- Recent graduates (within the past year) are also encouraged to apply.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Experience Requirements
- Previous internship or volunteer experience in a related field is advantageous but not required.
- Demonstrated interest in public service and community development.
Skills Requirements
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
