Job Description:

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) is excited to announce the Internship Program for 2024, offering exceptional individuals a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience within the legislative research arm of the U.S. Congress.   2. Assist in the preparation of reports, briefs, and analyses on current legislative issues.
  3. Attend congressional hearings and meetings to observe and report on proceedings.
  4. Collaborate with CRS analysts on ongoing research projects and initiatives.
  5. Provide administrative support to facilitate the smooth operation of the research service.
  6. Engage in discussions and contribute to policy debates within the research team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Pursuing a degree in political science, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is often a requirement due to the nature of the work.

Experience: While prior internship or work experience in government or policy research is beneficial, we encourage applications from individuals with a passion for legislative research and public policy.
