Job Description:
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is offering a unique internship opportunity for graduate students. Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting research and analysis on issues related to firearms, explosives, and other regulated substances.
- Support ongoing investigations through data collection, case file management, and evidence handling.
- Collaborate with ATF agents and professionals on various projects and initiatives.
- Participate in the preparation of reports, briefings, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage in administrative tasks to facilitate the efficient operation of ATF programs.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a graduate program in criminal justice, law enforcement, forensic science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of federal laws and regulations pertaining to firearms, explosives, and controlled substances.
- Strong academic performance and a commitment to professional growth in law enforcement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Experience:
Previous experience in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
Skills:
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
